OPINION: Less than a week after he stepped in front of a Wellington audience to announce an immigration reset for productivity-boosting purposes Stuart Nash was in front of an Auckland one, boosting it a different way. He was fronting the Government’s “Digital Boost” announcement to get small businesses on to the internet, trading goods online and perhaps choosing cloud services to run things like their financials. The boost is meant to pair small to medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) with a large list of companies that have agreed to provide their services free, to help them embrace digital ways of doing things.
Our programme is rooted in today’s reality. But it also shows the way to a brighter tomorrow. I look forward to working across the chamber, as we get on with delivering it.
