BISMARCK The North Dakota Department of Health reported 18 new COVID-19-related deaths and an increase of 110 active cases Saturday, Jan. 2.
The new deaths and active cases were reported from Thursday due to the New Year s Day holiday.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.
375 new individuals from 41 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 92,202.
These results were from a pool of 8,944 tests for a daily positive rate of 4.74 percent.
