Concerned citizens group hosts May 4 meeting on solar projects Sen. Bill Reineke A group of citizens concerned over new solar farm projects in Highland County will be meeting with public officials at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 4 at the

An organizer of the group, Dave Gingrich, told
The Highland County Press this week that Clinton County/Highland County Citizens Concerned About Solar Farms have invited State Sen. Bob Peterson, State Rep. Shane Wilkin and commissioners from Highland and Clinton counties.
Gingrich said the group is concerned with due process for property owners adjacent to the solar projects. He said at least 49 landowners or area residents were not properly notified of the solar project.
Hopefully, Ohio’s planting season will soon be as busy as its legislative season. There’s a lot of activity down at the capitol these days, with many bills on the move. Water quality bonds
A joint resolution recently offered in the Senate supports amending Ohio’s Constitution to create permanent funds for clean water improvements. S.J.R. 2, a bipartisan proposal from Theresa Gavarone (R-Bowling Green) and Kenny Yuko (D-Richmond Hts.) would place a ballot issue before voters in November. The issue proposes amending the Constitution to allow for the issuance of general obligation bonds to fund clean water improvements.
