Just after 5:00pm on Sunday 28 February 2021, police and emergency services attended a serious two vehicle crash on the Huon Highway, Huonville between Glen Road and North Glen Road.
A red Hyundai hatch travelling north on the Huon Highway collided head on with a silver Nissan X-Trail which was travelling south on the Huon Highway.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged as a result of the crash.
The driver and sole occupant of the Hyundai, a 77 year old woman from Mountain River, had to be cut free from her vehicle and was transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital with serious injuries.
