When they were young, Dalton Risner and De Vante Bausby experienced the generosity of their neighbors around the holidays. Now, they’re paying it forward.
The Lead
The biggest one for the Broncos has to be Garett Bolles.
In his fourth NFL season, Bolles turned his reputation on its head and became one of the league s top tackles, perhaps the best in the conference. It got him a contract extension in November, but it did not get him to his first career Pro Bowl.
Bolles still had a spectacular season, though. He rated out as the third-best tackle in the league, according to Pro Football Focus; no AFC player graded out above him.
Still, his teammates have no doubt about the kind of year he s had.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. Denver Broncos safety Justin Simmons on Wednesday will be presented with the 14th Annual Darrent Williams Good Guy Award, as selected by the team s local media.
The award was created in memory of former Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams, who passed away on Jan. 1, 2007, after completing his second season with the team. The award is given annually to the Bronco who best exemplifies Williams enthusiasm, cooperation and honesty while dealing with members of the press.
The first three-time winner of the award, Simmons was also recognized by the Broncos local media in 2017 and 19. Other players who received significant consideration for this year s honor include guard Dalton Risner and safety Kareem Jackson.

Perhaps one of the most important players to the Broncos’ win on Sunday was a guy who didn’t even play.
But he was in Drew Lock’s ear all game.
Backup quarterback Brett Rypien gave Lock some pointers on how to play
his game but still be a game manager.
And it paid off in dividends on Sunday.
“It was just about me coming in and doing my job. Knowing that if I just play my game and let it come to me, then the big ones will come.” - Drew Lock

The Denver Broncos got the ball to start the game and they featured the run game heavily to start. Melvin Gordon III found good push behind Dalton Risner for the game’s first first down.

The drive ended when Drew Lock tried to go to Tim Patrick, but the ball was too high and led him into a big hit by the safety. The drive ended, but at least it wasn’t a three and out.
