Former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. can file a motion to reconsider the Presidential Electoral Tribunal’s (PET) ruling which denied his election protest and, effectively, affirmed the victory of Vice President Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo in the 2016 vice presidential election.

“Of course, he (Marcos) can do that (filing of a motion for reconsideration), that’s one of his remedies,” Chief Justice Diosdado M. Peralta said.
Last Tuesday, February 16, the PET – composed of all justices of the Supreme Court (SC) – dismissed unanimously Marcos’ 2016 election protest against Robredo.

I came to know about the story of the sugarcane workers in Hacienda Luisita, a sprawling 6,453-hectare sugar plantation in Tarlac operated by the Cojuangco political clan, when news came out that they were getting a minimum salary of nine pesos and fifty centavos a week. I could not wrap my head around the fact that families can actually survive with only as much.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar announced on Monday, Feb. 15, that the 18-kilometer portion of the entire CLLEX Phase 1 from Tarlac City to Nueva Ecija will be opened to public by May 15, 2021.
“Witihin the next 90 days, the 18-kilometer section from the connection of SCTEX (Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway) and TPLEX (Tarlac-Pangasinan-La UnionExpressway) in Balingcanaway, Tarlac City up to Aliaga Interchange of the Central Luzon Link Expressway Project Phase 1 will be substantially completed,” Villar said as he took the first drive test within the portion Monday.
The entire CLLEX Phase 1 is seen to reduce travel time between Tarlac City and Cabanatuan City from 70 minutes to just 20 minutes.
