While the nation was in lockdown holding their loved ones tight, Paurini Wiringi was still uncertain where his brother Kawhena Wiringi was.
Kawhena was last seen on November 15, 2019, at his whānau s Ngāpuna marae. He hadn t accessed his phone - he left it behind - or his bank accounts.

Police at the scene after a child was trapped under a car in Rotorua.
Members of the public lifted a car to free a young boy who was trapped underneath in an incident that happened in a carpark in central Rotorua.
The incident happened at 10.30am Tuesday in the Rotorua Credit Union carpark on the corner of Ranolf and Pukuatua Sts. Police along with fire and St John ambulance services are in attendance.
