Mark Spiteri Lucas makes comeback as a singer-songwriter

Mużika Mużika – Festival tal-Kanzunetta Maltija. The song he composed, penned and performed for the latter festival, Lil Binti, entered the charts on Malta’s Top 10, apart from securing 3,000 streams on Spotify and 6,000 views on YouTube. It was produced by Andrew Zammit, with an orchestral arrangement created by Joe Brown.  This success made Spiteri Lucas think long and hard about a return to the local music scene as a singer/songwriter, and he decided to kick off things by giving life to the song through a music video.  “It was a pleasure not only writing and singing this song but also leaving a visual memory, something my daughter Greta can physically replay time and time again, recalling the previous memories we spent together, something that we won’t be able to recreate when I am no longer present,” Spiteri Lucas said.

The first photo I ever took of my daughter, and the last

By Syndicated Content By Darrin Zammit Lupi KAPPARA, Malta (Reuters) – I took the first photo of my daughter, Rebecca, moments after she was born on August 3, 2005. Barely more than 15 years later, I took the last photo of my daughter moments after she died, of cancer, on January 3, 2021. I’m a photojournalist. It was only natural that I documented just about every moment of the beautiful life of Becs, as my wife, Marisa, and I called her. Like the time she was 2 and her face looks lit up from within. The time she was onstage dancing, only 12 but defying gravity with grace and poetry. The time she was playing in a field of wildflowers with our dog Cookie, her smile as big as the sky.

Sweden tolls a bell for its Knight and Pacific tribe dances for its deity: how the world marked Prince Philip s funeral Jessica Abrahams Replay Video (Video by Press Association) Flags fell to half mast around the world on Saturday as people paid their respects to the Duke of Edinburgh and countries across the Commonwealth marked national days of mourning. Unable to attend the funeral due to coronavirus restrictions, royals and heads of state paid tribute to the Duke through statements and observing local customs. Sweden s King Carl XVI Gustaf, a distant relative of the Queen, and Queen Sonja sent wreaths to the Royal Family and released a number of photographs of the Duke from state visits to Sweden in 1956 and 1983. The Duke was made a Knight of the Order of the Seraphim by King Gustaf VI Adolf on 23 June 1954.
