Tri-Town businesses receive covid aid

Jan 22, 2021 MARION The Atlantic Bistro, Brew Fish  and Equestrian Element are among the businesses to receive a grant In a third round of funding dispersed to businesses through the Covid-19 Small Business Grant Program.  The grants, which ranged from $10,000 to $75,000, were announced by State Senator Marc Pacheco on Jan. 14.  Over $1.2 million in funding was dispersed in this round of grants to businesses across the 1st Plymouth and Bristol District, which includes Marion, Bridgewater, Carver, Middleborough, Raynham, Taunton, and Wareham. Rochester and Mattapoisett are part of the 1st and 2nd Bristol and Plymouth districts, respectively. Atlantic Bistro and Brew Fish each received a $75,000 grant in the third round of funding.

Dartmouth Animal Control said the black cow escaped from a farm in Westport last June and repeatedly evaded capture by fleeing into wooded areas. Advertisement Unless we get people calling us and letting us know where this cow is going, I really can t do anything, Animal Control officer Sandra Gosselin told the Dartmouth Week in June. It s like looking for a needle in a haystack.

At the October meeting, Markey stated that Solrac LLC has been owned by the Rafael family for 20 years and in addition to Rafael-DeMello, Hathaway and his wife, Ivonilde Rafael Hathaway, and a third sister are also principals.  The Rafael family has yet to buy the property, which is still owned by Quinary Properties LLC, whose principals are the Aghai family, according to the meeting minutes, but Markey said Solrac LLC has a purchase and sale agreement for the property.  While Rafael himself isn’t mentioned at the meeting or listed under the LLC, he discussed the project with an editor from Dartmouth Week, along with plans to restore the Hawthorne Country Club on Tucker Road.
