One of the perks of working for the Dallas Observer is getting to meet interesting people, and pretty much every encounter gives us a nugget of wisdom that has the potential to change the course of our beliefs. 2020 has been a dark year, and we ve all been waiting for the sun to come out again, so we thought we d take a look back at some of our favorite interviews from local, national and even global culture contributors over the past year and pull out something from each one that we call all learn from and use to make 2021 a better year for everyone.

The man was booked into the Tarrant County Jail on Sept. 9 in connection with assault family violence/strangulation, officials with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said.  He died at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. His name has not been released.

Craig King, 50, had been fighting COVID-19 since early November, said Lieutenant Jennifer Gabbert with the sheriff s office. King started working for the office in 2003 and was promoted to lieutenant in 2019. He was assigned to the Confinement Division. He will be greatly missed, Gabbert said in the news released.
