After a busy RD1-3 draft session the Vikings are looking in pretty good shape. Christian Darrisaw was a great pick and I think the Vikings once again got lucky in RD1. Savvy move for Rick trading.

Forrest, who
NFL.com s Lance Zierlein called an urgent player in his draft evaluation, is a three-year starter who was an All-AAC honorable mention in 2020. He made 36 career starts for the Bearcats and recorded 200 tackles to go with 12 pass breakups and six interceptions. Forrest was a first-team All-AAC selection in 2019 for getting 106 stops, 63 of which were solo, and three interceptions. He s willing and able to play near the line of scrimmage or flow downhill quickly in order to constrict the run lane and defend the flanks against outside runs, Zierlein wrote. He s comfortable and steady from split zone and has a game that is also suited for playing down near the box.

The Washington Football Team has done their first trade during the 2021 NFL draft and it’s an interesting one. They have traded their 2022 5th round pick to the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles for a 6th(#225) and 7th round(#240) pick this year. They executed this trade when they still had almost a full round to go until the 6th rounder they acquired, so this is just a move to get more lottery tickets this year.
Due to the limitations that were in place with a lack of a Combine, issues with getting medical information, and lack of formal player visits/workouts, many teams were interested in getting picks next year. Washington has held off from trading up or down in this year’s draft, but they have received several calls.
