Alert: Twin Ports Homeless Need Rises For Winter Wear
Richard Howell and others who work closely with the homeless and other displaced people have begun a drive to help those people and they are calling it SURVIVING COVID-19 .
With the Governors mandated closings for places that gather people, that affects the outreach programs for the homeless and other charities. Damiano Center and other places like it can t help with meals or letting people in to get coats, boots, and other winter wear.
I talked to Richard on the phone and he says there are people who still need those things and have nowhere to go. So, he and others saw that need and stepped up to help. Richard told me he has people helping him put this together because those people still need help even if the mandates don t allow these places to open.
