The Iowa City Police Department and the Johnson County Medical Examiner’s Office have released the identity of the victim of Wednesday night’s suspicious death.
The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Tommy Curry of Iowa City. Based on initial information, including the preliminary autopsy result, the manner of death is listed as a homicide, with the cause of death being injuries sustained from gunshot wounds.
This matter remains under investigation by the Iowa City Police Department, the Johnson County Attorney’s Office, and the Johnson County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Just after 8pm Wednesday officers responded to the 2400 Block of Lakeside Drive for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located Curry suffering from gunshot wounds. Curry was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and was later pronounced deceased.

According to information obtained from a Buffalo Public Schools district whistleblower instead of working on practical measures to improve the district’s dismally low academic performance, administrators have implemented “equity based instructional strategies.” The centerpiece of this view is that “America is built on racism,” a view propagated by district diversity czar Fatima Morrell. She has also proclaimed that “America’s sickness” leads some to believe that blacks are “not human,” making it easier to “shoot someone in the back seven times if you feel like it.”
