Port 'not up to the level' of AFL best | Queensland Times

AFL Rd 9 - Port Adelaide v Western Bulldogs Sport by Russell Gould 20th May 2021 1:37 PM | Updated: 2:06 PM Port Adelaide vice-captain Ollie Wines concedes his team is “not up to the level” of the Western Bulldogs after last week’s defeat but dismissed talk of the Power being flat-track bullies. The home loss to the red-hot Bulldogs last weekend was just Port’s third for the season, with the other two coming against the Brisbane Lions and West Coast Eagles, both away from the Adelaide Oval. Port coach Ken Hinkley earlier this week said it was “disrespectful” to those opposition sides, with only the Eagles below the fifth-placed Power on the ladder, to call his team a “flat-track bully”.

With Round 9 just getting underway, it’s time to take another look at where things stand after eight rounds. As I’ve said before, we use 23 sources of voting and evaluations of AFL players each week: several teams of the week, Brownlow-style voting, best-on-grounds, fantasy scoring, statistical leaders and AFLCA voting.
