Notre Dame WR/RB Jafar Armstrong Enters Transfer Portal
Dan Lyons
Michigan s Khaleke Hudson lays a hit on Notre Dame RB/WR Jafar Armstrong.
Jafar Armstrong, a running back and wide receiver for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, has entered the transfer portal. He played three years at Notre Dame.
Armstrong was a three-star 247Sports composite recruit in the 2017 class for Notre Dame. The site ranked him No. 471 in the country and No. 69 among wide receivers.
He’d go on to play both receiver and running back for the Fighting Irish. After a redshirt year in 2017, he had his biggest role in the Fighting Irish offense in his first year seeing the field, 2018. That season, he ran the ball 72 times for 383 yards and seven touchdowns, and caught 14 passes for 159 yards.
Danny Kanell Has A Message For Texas A&M Fans

Former Florida State football quarterback Danny Kanell, a consistent troll of Miami football, speaks on FS1.
If you didn’t think Notre Dame was officially an ACC team before tonight, Danny Kanell has basically confirmed it. The former Florida State quarterback is the conference’s biggest defender in the media, and he was at it after tonight’s Rose Bowl game, calling out Texas A&M fans that believed their team deserved Notre Dame’s place in the College Football Playoff.
The College Football Playoff’s final spot ultimately came down to Notre Dame over Texas A&M. The biggest knock on the Aggies: they already got a shot against No. 1 Alabama this season.
Friday Morning Update On The Browns Is Promising
Dan Lyons
Cleveland Browns Baker Mayfield holds his hand over his heart during national anthem.
The Cleveland Browns have struggled with an ongoing COVID-19 situation in recent weeks. An outbreak within the team nearly knocked out the team’s entire wide receiving corps last week.
The bad news for the Browns: some more guys will be out for a must-win game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Cornerback Denzel Ward and linebacker Malcolm Smith have been added to the COVID-19/Reserve List.
There is a bright side for Cleveland though. Baker Mayfield gets his four wide receivers–Rashard Higgins, KhaDarel Hodge, Jarvis Landry and Donovan Peoples-Jones back after missing last week’s loss to the New York Jets. Perhaps more importantly, it looks like the rolling Browns outbreak has been stemmed for now.

Auburn and Northwestern are set to face off in one of today’s undercard bowl games, the Citrus Bowl in Orlando. The bowl’s official Twitter account had some fun with the Wildcats this morning.
Back in late November, Northwestern picked up one of its biggest wins of the season, knocking off Big Ten West power Wisconsin 17-7. Before that game, Pat Fitzgerald’s team got some very interesting bulletin board material.
Previewing the game, ESPN’s Joey Galloway downplayed Northwestern’s chances of competing at the top of the Big Ten, calling the Wildcat athletes “a bunch of Rece Davises,” downplaying their athleticism. The team ran with it after beating Wisconsin, owning the nickname and jabbing back at Galloway.
Watch: Wizards Center Thomas Bryant Dunked On The Wrong Basket During Game

Washington Wizards center Thomas Bryant holds his head, reacting to a play.
Even the worst NBA player is a mind-blowing athlete capable of doing things on the court that 99.9-percent of the population could never do. Thomas Bryant certainly did that on a notable play at the start of the third quarter of tonight’s Orlando Magic-Washington Wizards game. Unfortunately, it was worth two points for his opponent.
With the Magic leading 68-64 a few minutes into the start of the second half, former No. 1 pick Markelle Fultz attempted a baseline 17-foot jumper. It hit rim, and it looked like guard Evan Fournier might have a shot at a putback, until Bryant came flying in.
