Prime Minister Stephen Harper and NDP leader Jack Layton publicly changed their stance on allowing Green Party leader Elizabeth May to take part in the televised leaders debates, earlier this week.
Harper and Layton had asked the television networks which host the debate to not allow May into the debate, but after public outcry changed their minds.
On Wednesday, the media consortium announced May will be allowed to take part in the debate. She is the first Green Party leader to be allowed to take part in the debates with the “mainstream” party leaders and she’s earned it.
