Pueblo’s COVID-19 vaccine clinic set to reopen after weeklong closure PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) According to the Pueblo County Sheriff s Office, the county s COVID-19 clinic at the Pueblo Mall is set to reopen on Thursday after a week long hiatus. Last week, Pueblo Health Officials were forced to shut down the facility due to a shortage of vaccines. Pueblo Mayor reassessing COVID curfew for 2021 PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) Pueblo Mayor Nick Gradisar s office has confirmed with KRDO that the city is reassessing the future of the Home by 10 COVID-19 curfew. The curfew restricts outdoor and non-essential travel for Puebloans every night of the week from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The mayor s office says Gradisar has not come to a decision on what to do with the curfew before the new year begins. The curfew was put into place on Oct. 29 and was originally supposed to last two weeks. Mayor Gradisar extended the curfew deadline twice. The Mayor hoped the curfew would help flatten the curve of COVID-19 cases in Pueblo.

Columbus Bust in Pueblo covered up after activist’s death PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) Early Friday morning, activists in Pueblo covered up the Christoper Columbus bust on Abriendo Avenue after the death of Rita Martinez, one of the most prominent activists in the battle over the statue. The bust was covered up with a giant red banner reading Take It Down . Around 8 a.m., Pueblo Police - including Police Chief Troy Davenport - took the banner down and returned it to the Martinez family. At 8 a.m. Pueblo Police remove a banner covering the Christopher Columbus bust.. The banner was in honor of Rita Martinez, who passed away December 10th. Vaccinations underway at Pueblo hospitals

Vaccinations underway at Pueblo hospitals PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) Starting Thursday, Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo will begin vaccinating their staff with the Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine. Registered Nurses, Certified Nurses Assistants, Respiratory Therapists, and any staff in direct contact with COVID-19 patients will have priority to receive the vaccine first. Around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, the first shipment of 3,000 Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines arrived at the Pueblo County Distribution Hub. 1,000 of those doses were transferred to Parkview Medical Center. A total of 190 doses of the vaccine were delivered to Pueblo s St. Mary Corwin Medical Center, and six members of their staff were vaccinated Wednesday evening.
