What goes up must come down: Stray bullet narrowly misses Las Cruces couple
LAS CRUCES – A stray bullet went through the ceiling of a mobile home Monday night, landing on a bed and narrowly missing the occupants.
Amber Dorman and Erik Venzor were lying on their bed Monday in their mobile home parked at Valley Verde Mobile Home Park off of Hadley Avenue. About 10 p.m. a bullet broke through their ceiling, hit the floor and bounced onto the bed landing between them. Dorman’s two kids, 15 and 13, were in another part of the mobile home at the time.
Police were called right away, and an officer took their account and documented the damage. The bullet was taken into evidence.
