ATLANTA, Ga. The No. 14 Florida State softball team (6-1, 2-0) completed the weekend sweep of Georgia Tech (5-3, 0-3) Friday, defeating them 5-4. Danielle Watson started for the Noles in the circle as she pitched four innings allowing four hits and four runs with four strikeouts. The win marks the third win of the season for Danielle Watson. Caylan Arnold entered the game in the fifth inning and allowed no runs with one hit and three strikeouts in three innings, earning her first save of the season. Offensively the Noles were led by Dani Morgan once again as she had two RBIs on two hits, including a double in the third inning. Florida State 5, Georgia Tech 4 Georgia Tech struck first today scoring one run in the first inning. Emma Kauf led off with a single for the Yellow Jackets. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. The No. 14 Florida State softball team (5-1, 2-0) took it to Georgia Tech (5-2, 0-2) Thursday defeating them twice 8-1 and 7-3.
The Noles were led by Danielle Watson in the circle during the first game as she pitched 5.1 innings allowing four hits and one run with a season high tying five strikeouts.
The win marks the second win of the season for Danielle Watson. Offensively the Noles were led by Dani Morgan who recorded four RBIs on two hits.
