The legislators discussed why they think the state’s current economic context calls for a capital gains tax and how an upcoming federal stimulus package plays into their calculus. Never again should we allow ourselves to be in a position where we hit a crisis like this and the only tool we have to fund recovery is the most regressive tool in the toolbox – sales tax. Following an earlier campaign that ran ads in support of Gov. Inslee’s capital gains tax and a tax on health insurers, Invest in WA Now has released a new ad centered around small business owners.
