Two men arrested after police chase in Becker County involving two stolen vehicles
The pursuit of the big truck continued to the east, and included traveling on snowmobile trails before the truck struck a tire deflation device. The chase continued to the Rat Lake Forest Trail, where the vehicle crashed about 1.5 miles north of County Road 143.

Two men were arrested Dec. 18 after an extensive law enforcement chase and K9 search in northern Becker County.
According to a news release from Becker County Sheriff Todd Glander, the chase started about 8:24 a.m., when a White Earth tribal police officer attempted to stop two vehicles, traveling together, for speeding on 320th Street in West Sugar Bush Township.
The Northern Lights Task Force includes law enforcement from Hubbard County.

A law enforcement coalition formed to address public safety needs posed by the installation of the Line 3 pipeline across northern Minnesota, according to a news release.
The Northern Lights Task Force statement says, “In 2016, when it became evident that a pipeline would likely be built across northern Minnesota, numerous law enforcement leaders began initial conversations of what a joint public safety response would look like. As the plans became more formalized on the pipeline, the conversations moved from abstract to concrete with the formation of mutual aid agreements and detailed planning.”

Numerous law enforcement leaders began initial conversations of what a joint public safety response would look like. As the plans became more formalized on the pipeline, the conversations moved from abstract to concrete with the formation of mutual aid agreements and detailed planning.

The group s mission is to: “provide a safe environment that protects life, property, and free speech through a respectful approach by well trained, disciplined peace officers relating to the lawful activities conducted by those who wish to exercise their First Amendment rights in Minnesota. “
