A Dawson Springs man who had been reported missing Thursday was found deceased along Interstate 69 early Sunday morning.
Trooper Rob Austin with Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville reports they were contacted by the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department around 1:00 a.m. that a deceased male was found off of the southbound lanes of travel near the 103-mile marker on I-69.
When KSP arrived on the scene Trooper Austin says they confirmed the deceased male was 29-year old Michael “Andrew” Dowd who was reported missing Thursday.
On Friday, State Police had requested help from the public to locate Dowd who was last seen around 1:00 Thursday morning at a residence on Wells Road in Nortonville.

DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. (WFIE) - Kentucky State Police are investigating after a missing Hopkins County man was found dead early Sunday morning.
They say 29-year-old Michael “Andrew” Dowd was last seen on Wednesday around 1 a.m. at a home on Wells Road in Nortonville.
On Sunday, KSP says they were notified by the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office around 1 a.m. for a deceased man off of the southbound lanes of I-69 near the 103-mile marker.
