The Buffalo Bills just completed the 2021 NFL Draft which naturally means draft experts and nerds are turning their attention to the 2022 NFL Draft. With lots of unknowns, it’s just a speculative exercise, but Todd McShay’s pick is not going to happen.
Josh Jobe, CB, Alabama
Jobe started opposite Pat Surtain II last season and was an effective press-man corner with the ability to reroute receivers at the line of scrimmage. He attacks the ball in the air and broke up 11 passes last season, but he has just one interception over three seasons. After Buffalo took care of the edge rushing group at the draft, it will be able to focus on adding to the secondary next offseason.

1. GM Brandon Beane trading up, trading back or staying put in the first round?
This is a tough one to call, but with the 30th pick in the first round just about everything is on the table for the Bills. GM Brandon Beane and his personnel department will have to let the draft come to them sitting so low in round one to get a read on what talent could fall to them and what positions look most promising in offering the best value.
Draft analysts have suspected that there could be good value at the edge rusher position and at cornerback at the bottom of round one, but it s just a projection.

Very little information gets leaked from One Bills Drive these days. General manager Brandon Beane and company run a pretty tight ship so it’s hard to figure out exactly where the team will go starting on Thursday night in the 2021 NFL Draft.
The Buffalo Bills are coming off of a 13-3 season that saw them make it all the way to the AFC Championship game. With few glaring needs, Buffalo can go in a variety of directions in this year’s draft. Although the Bills don’t leak much information, this mock draft was compiled using some of Beane’s quotes and one Sean McDermott quote since the end of Buffalo’s 2020 season.
