The move was made by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam following the Ministry of Health’s proposal. At an online meeting on HCM City’s Covid-19 situation held on Monday, Dam said that he had received many opinions suggesting the home-quarantine. At present, the pilot home quarantine is being applied in HCM City. People who come into close contact with Covid-19 patients can quarantine themselves at home for 28 days, but strictly following regulations.

Vietnam records four more COVID-19 deaths

Monday, 12:00, 12/07/2021 VOV.VN - The Treatment Subcommittee under the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control confirmed four more fatalities on the morning of July 12 relating to COVID-19 and underlying health conditions. A severe patient receives treatment from medical workers The four patients were aged between 44 and 74 and came from the Mekong Delta provinces of Dong Thap and Long An. They had all been suffering from a number of other chronic illnesses, including pleural cancer, cirrhosis, hypertension, ischemic heart disease, chronic kidney failure, iabetes (type II), and Hepatitis B. Each of the individuals had previously tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus and subsequently passed away after being admitted to hospital to receive treatment.
