Hanoi deputy chairman Duong Duc Tuan has approved the proposal of replacing all red-leaf maple trees planted on the median strips along Nguyen Chi Thanh and Tran Duy Hung Streets due to their underdevelopment.
The medians of the two streets in Dong Da and Cau Giay Districts have been landscaped with 262 red maple trees donated by a company since 2018, with the expectation that they would serve as beautiful and traffic-calming elements.
Nguyen Duc Manh, deputy general director of Hanoi Green Tree and Park Company, once said that this type of maple tree would change leaves in winter and grow well in summer.
