Itasca to hold annual Memorial Day Parade May 31 Itasca Memorial Day parade map Courtesy of Village of Itasca     Updated 5/20/2021 5:20 PM Itasca s annual Memorial Day Parade will step off at 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 31. It will start be at the Metra commuter lot at Irving Park Road (Route 19) heading north on Maple Street. The route has been extended and will be on the north side and south side of town. See the route map at www.itasca.com. The parade will look a little different this year. All participants will be in a vehicle or on a float. A memorial service will be held immediately following the parade at Wesley G. Usher Memorial Park, 200 S. Walnut St.

Presentations will include an overview of recent accomplishments and plans for the future of Itasca.   Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the town hall meeting will be conducted remotely via Zoom. State rental assistance program opens May 17

State rental assistance program opens May 17     Updated 5/17/2021 12:42 PM The Illinois Rental Payment Program is an emergency rental assistance program designed to support households in Illinois that are unable to pay rent due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The state will begin accepting applications at 9 a.m. Monday, May 17. Tenants and housing providers must submit a joint application together.   Applications are available at ILRPP.IHDA.org. Applicants are eligible for up to 15 months of assistance from June 2020 to August 2021. The grant can cover the past due rent from the previous 12 months and future rental assistance for the next three months, if deemed necessary.
