The Ohio Turnpike kicks off its 2021 construction season with a
$205 million capital improvement program that includes projects throughout northern Ohio. The focus will be on improving safety and making progress on the modernized Toll Collection System that is scheduled to go live with Open Road Tolling in the spring of 2023. We ll be making significant progress this year constructing much of the infrastructure necessary to modernize our toll collection system, said Ferzan M. Ahmed, executive director. Customers have been asking for a modern toll road and we re excited that our plan is now under way. In 2023, our new Open Road Tolling system will debut with all gates removed for our E-ZPass customers.

RIDGEFIELD A “smart businessman” with “substantial means” has decided to “let go” of his vision for developing condominiums on a 1.17-acre property on Turner Road and Barnum Place and is instead donating the land towards the town’s open space, according to his realtor and adviser, Chip Neumann.

Kent Fire and Rescue attended the scene A kitchen fire which wrecked the home of a family in Dartford sadly also claimed the life of their cat. The blaze, which erupted on Friday night, caused damage throughout the property and fans had to be used to clear the house of smoke. Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the fire at around 6pm on April 23, with two fire engines attending Turner Road in Bean near Dartford. Turner Road, Bean, near Dartford Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, and a high pressure fan was used to clear the house of smoke.
