Police: NYC Man Arrested in Miami After Fighting Fire Rescue

A New York City man is facing charges after he got into a fight with a fire rescue crew member who came to his aid after someone reported that he was passed out, police said.
A video showed the shirtless man allegedly shoving a firefighter while he backed away.
Crews responded to a call about an unconscious man in Miami Beach, Florida, Friday around 6:45 p.m., WPLG reported.
Police identified the man as Noel Harrison, 26, of Brooklyn, New York. Officers said as firefighters were trying to determine Harrison’s status, he suddenly “took an aggressive stance.”

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – As detectives investigated the murder of a TSA officer in Miami-Dade County’s Naranja neighborhood, police officers arrested two teenage boys in relation to a shooting nearby.
Officers said the two teens fired about 80 rounds in front of a home near the intersection of 266th Avenue and 138th Street. The bullets damaged a car, and no one was injured, police said.
Officers did not identify the 17-year-old suspect in the shooting on Monday. Records show the other suspect is Dyron Kelson, who turned 18 years old on March 14.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – The Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department announced Thursday that they have lost one of their own due to COVID-19.
In a news release, the department confirmed that Correctional Officer Alexey Aguilar passed away on Sunday. He was 42.
Officer Herminio Amil Jr. said in the news release that he remembers Aguilar as
“more than just an officer. He was a true brother to me, he was always willing to be there for me either day or night. I can never repay him for all of the awesome things he has done for me and all of his coworkers.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A 45-year-old man turned himself in to authorities Monday in connection with a hit-and-run crash in northwest Miami-Dade that killed 18-year-old Derek E. Chirinos Betancourt, an attorney for the victim’s family confirmed.
Records show Frederick Howard Bailey faces charges of leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death, driving with a suspended license and tampering with physical evidence.

Upon seeing the knife, in fear for his life, the other victim began to retreat. The defendant charged towards him, ultimately slashing him on the left forearm. He then turned his attention to the other man began chasing him while attempting to stab him.
The suspect lunged towards him as he was falling to the ground and slashed the other male victim on the right, upper thigh causing a deep laceration.
Sworn audio-recorded statements were taken from both victims which corroborated the incident.
Hialeah Police arrived on scene and the defendant was taken into custody without incident. Hialeah fire rescue responded and treated both patients at the scene before they were transported to the hospital for further treatment.
