In the historical drama series Outlander,
Claire Randall, who is one of the
characters, is transported back to 1743. She is portrayed as a married military nurse, living in
Scotland in the 1940s. The nurse then meets a dashing Highland warrior Jamie
Fraser (
Sam Heughan). Surely by now, you would have guessed that it is one of the oddest shows airing right now.
Five episodes into the series, you will still not be able to define or pigeonhole the drama, but that is what makes it a great watch. Coming back to Claire, she is transported back in time after touching a magic rock. Claire proves to be a tough cookie in an environment and situation that would have stupefied even the bravest of us.
