Police said the boy was swimming at the falls, about 25 kilometres north-west of Surfers Paradise, with friends under adult supervision when he got into trouble and called out for help.
His body was found by police divers and swiftwater rescue teams just after 10pm. A report would be prepared for the coroner.
Aidenâs mother Sherry Carroll took to social media shortly after his disappearance urging anyone who might have seen him to make contact with her or police.
