The Kaduna state government has confirmed the killings of several bandits in Kaduna village.
The Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, Mr. Samuel Aruwan disclosed this in a statement.
He said, “Air platforms covered locations across Birnin Gwari, Igabi, Giwa and Chikun local government areas”
“Several bandits neutralized at Saulawa.
“Air platforms conducted armed missions over Sabon Birni, Albasu, Doka, Kerawa, Rikau, Galadimawa, Kidandan, Ngede Allah, Dogon Dawa, Takama, Damari, Saulawa, Yadi, the Kuduru-Ungwan Yako track and adjoining settlements. These locations spanned Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Igabi and Chikun local government areas.”
“As contained in the operational feedback to the Kaduna State Government, most of the locations covered appeared calm with no threats observed. This was confirmed by ground troops at Sabon Birni and Dogon Dawa.
Buhari govt extends eased COVID-19 lockdown by one month

The Nigerian government has extended the phase three ease of COVID-19 lockdown.
Boss Mustapha, Secretary of the Government of the Federation, SGF, has disclosed that the easing of COVID-19 lockdown has been extended by one month.
Mustapha, who is the Presidential Task Force, PTF, on COVID-19 disclosed on Monday in Abuja.
Speaking during the daily briefing of the committee, the SGF said efforts are on to minimize the challenges of air passengers.
He said: “The PTF is improving on the International Travel Portal to minimise the challenges passengers keep encountering.

Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has insisted that Governor Rotimi Akaredolu cannot ask Fulanis to vacate Ondo State.
Fayemi, who is the Governor of Ekiti State, said this on Monday during the meeting between members of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria and members of the Nigeria Governors Forum.
Recall that Akeredolu had given a seven-day ultimatum to Fulani herdsmen to vacate Ondo forest reserves.
The Governor had given the quit notice following the high rate of kidnapping in the state, allegedly committed in the forests.
However, in his welcome remarks, Fayemi explained that the order pronounced by Akeredolu was misconstrued by the media, particularly, social media.

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state has condoled Malam Musa Adamu, the husband of one Aisha, a seven-month pregnant woman who was killed by bandits on the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state on Sunday.
The Governor, who prayed for the repose of her soul, wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attack.

Ikpeazu appoints George-Esiaba as Senior Assistant on Public Relations

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has approved the appointment of Mr. Ikenna Charles George-Esiaba as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor/Public Relations Officer of the Enyimba Automated Shoe Factory.
The appointment is contained in a press release by the Chief Press Secretary to the Abia Governor, Onyebuchi Ememanka and issued to newsmen on Monday, in Umuahia.
Ikenna George-Esiaba is a graduate of Linguistics and Communication Studies and worked as a News Reporter with Cool Wazobia Info Radio in Port Harcourt.
According to the release on Monday,” In this new role, Ikenna will coordinate all media affairs of the Shoe Factory and is expected to manage critical liaison with journalists and other stakeholders in pushing the narrative and increase nationwide awareness about the factory.
