STAR MARES EPATANTE and Honeysuckle are among a final field of 10 horses declared for the Unibet Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham.
Nicky Henderson’s Epatante is the defending champion, having provided her trainer with a record eighth victory 12 months ago.
However, the JP McManus-owned seven-year-old will return to the Cotswolds on a recovery mission on Tuesday after suffering a shock defeat in the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton on Boxing Day.

Arguably the most eagerly awaited showdown at next week s Cheltenham Festival is off as Energumene will not be taking on Shishkin in the Sporting Life Arkle after Willie Mullins revealed on Friday morning that his unbeaten chaser is lame.
Energumene was as short as 2-1 for the crunch clash with Shishkin after winning his three starts over fences by a combined total of 36 and a half lengths and earning a rating of 163.
Mullins told the Racing Post: Unfortunately Energumene is lame after meeting with a setback. I don t know the extent of the injury at this stage as we haven t had him fully checked yet, but he won t make the festival.

DAY ONE - TUESDAY
Appreciate It could get the Irish off to a great start
Ruby Walsh: Appreciate It found Ferny Hollow too good for him last year in the Champion Bumper. Ferny Hollow quickened by him through the wings at the last hurdle and it looked like Appreciate It then would want to be going a bit further. He won his maiden hurdle in Cork beating Master McShee. He turned up at Leopardstown at Christmas and won a grade one over two miles, beating Ballyadam and a few others and he cemented that at the Dublin Racing Festival. It s maybe the weakness in the opposition that makes Appreciate It such a short-price favourite more so that what
