The developer of Amazon’s new €60 million Dublin “fulfilment centre”, which will help it bypass Brexit delays and speed up deliveries to Irish customers, has drafted in a specialist US group that has built facilities for the web retailing giant all over the US.
A fourth councillor has resigned from the Green Party.
Dublin-based Peter Kavanagh has stepped away from the Greens, citing internal abuse over his criticism of the party leadership.
Mr Kavanagh said the culture that has emerged in the party since entering Government is not one he can reconcile with his values.
In a series of tweets, he said: I have never made my opposition to the Programme for Government a secret, having spoken against it at the Special Convention last year. Unfortunately, my voicing opposition to Government decisions within the party has been met with a culture I cannot reconcile with the values of the Green Party/Comhaontas Glas.

The practice, which moved to a new studio in east London last month, will lead a multi-disciplinary team to create a strategic framework for the 7km
2 site on the edge of the Irish capital.

Backed by Dublin City Council and South Dublin County Council, the project will investigate how a mixed-use quarter can be developed.
‘One golden thread running through all aspects of the project is sustainability,’ said a spokesperson for Maccreanor Lavington.

‘The scale of the project allows a holistic approach, and one that can tie in coordination of many different aspects such as sustainable transport, active travel, the circular economy, social sustainability, environmental sustainability, climate change resilience and even the potential for energy production and storage.’
