3 Cars Burned at Police Officer’s Home in Northern Ireland Three cars were set alight and destroyed on Thursday at the home of a police officer in Northern Ireland. Police in the Northern Irish town of Larne attended the officer’s address on Glenarm Road after receiving a report of three cars on fire in the early hours on Thursday. All three cars were destroyed by fire, which also caused scorch damage to the house, but the officer, his wife, and daughter who were asleep at home were not injured. “We are investigating this as an incident of arson. This was a completely reckless attack which could have had serious consequences,” Detective Chief Inspector Dunny McCubbin said in a statement.

Cars set alight outside PSNI officer s Larne home in reckless attack

  A “reckless” arson attack at the home of a serving Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) officer in Co Antrim has been condemned. Three cars were set alight at the property at around 1.45am on Thursday. The fire also caused scorch damage to the house which the officer, his wife and daughter were asleep in at the time. The three were not injured but the episode was described as a “terrifying ordeal” for the family. The PSNI said it was “keeping an open mind” in terms of the motivation for the incident. Det Chief Insp Dunny McCubbin said it was a “completely reckless attack which could have had serious consequences”.

Police officer and family escape injury after arson attack at their Larne home Police are appealing for information 29 April, 2021 14:33 Police have appealed for information following an arson attack at the Larne home of a serving police officer during the early hours of this morning. The attack, at around 1.45am this morning, destroyed three cars at the police officer s home on the Glenarm Road. Officers attended and found that the cars had been set alight. All three cars were destroyed as a result.  The fire had also caused scorch damage to the house.   The officer, his wife and daughter, who were in the house at the time were not injured.
