State-of-the-Art Mobile COVID-19 Testing Available in Hudson Valley
Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro announced Friday that Dutchess County has a new partnership that will provide mobile COVID-19 testing to residents with no out-of-pocket cost.
Dutchess County is partnering with ProPhase Labs to offer COVID-19 testing to provide residents with an easy and convenient testing option for free. The COVID-19 guidelines change for events like upcoming proms and graduations, the accessibility of rapid testing remains critical as these events can require vaccination or may ask for proof of negative COVID test in order to attend.
ProPhase will have a mobile testing vehicle located at Dutchess Stadium in Wappingers starting on Monday, May 10. The state-of-the-art testing offers over 99 percent accuracy, test results within one day, and can be reported directly to a patient’s smartphone. More than half of New York state’s county Republican chairs have now endorsed Long Island Rep. Lee Zeldin to become the party’s nominee for governor next year, with Erie and Niagara counties putting him over the top Friday.
Zeldin on Thursday had secured endorsements from more than half of the state’s Conservative Party chairs, raising the chances that he’ll be on the ballot in next year’s race for governor.
He’s just one of two Republicans who’ve formally declared their candidacy for governor next year. Lewis County Sheriff Mike Carpinelli has also announced a run, but hasn’t gained as much support to date.

Rep. Lee Zeldin of New York has gathered enough support from GOP party leaders around the state to call the nomination for him, capped off by two big endorsements in the state s western region.
Zeldin, a former state senator, picked up the support of Erie County GOP Chairman Karl J. Simmeth Jr. and Niagara County GOP Chairman Richard Andres, allowing him to surpass the 50% threshold of state committee support to get the party nomination.
By Monday, nearly 30 Republican Party County chairs, representing 52% of the state party members, endorsed Zeldin’s run against Gov. Andrew Cuomo, with the chairman of Greene County being the latest.
