The man who died in a great white shark attack has been remembered as a truly special soul who is home now in the ocean in heartbreaking tribute shared by his daughter. Mark Sanguinetti, 59, from Sydney s Northern Beaches, was fatally mauled by a 4.5m great white shark off Tuncurry Beach near Forster on the NSW mid-north coast on Tuesday morning. We all knew him as a legend with a heart as vast and deep as the ocean, which was the first of his many loves, one of his daughters penned in a handwritten tribute, which also invited surfers to a ceremonial paddle out to remember Mr Sanguinetti.

The attack occurred around 11:15 am today. Despite a massive emergency response, including several ambulances and a helicopter from Sydney, the surfer died at around 12:40pm. The Department of Primary Industries, which runs fisheries and shark management, says it has not yet identified the shark species involved and is still gathering information about the attack. News 1st Feb 2021 7:31 PM A photo of a dad snorkelling while his son played on the beach during a family trip to South Australia was taken just moments before the man died and was eaten by a shark. Taylia Craw took a picture of her two-year-old son Levi with his dad Duncan, 32, in the background, during the family s trip from New Zealand. The photo shows the toddler with a yellow spade on the sand and Duncan swimming in the ocean. Little did Mrs Craw know it would be the last picture she would take of her husband and son together.
