Corporate Learning and Development (L&D) technology innovator Attensi is executing its plans for global expansion after raising $26m from New York-based Lugard Road Capital, DX Ventures, and existing share holder Viking Venture. Ford - one of the Brighton Area School Districtâs 12 social-emotional-learning dogs â is resting at home after surgery last month for a torn ligament, which is equivalent to an ACL tear in his knee. The surgery was performed by Oakland Veterinary Referral Services in Bloomfield Twp., which donated the surgical procedure and waived all related charges.
It was for that reason that the Brighton Board of Education named the veterinary practice a âShining Starâ at its March 22nd meeting and accepted the donation of $3,900 in veterinary services. Karen Storey, whose idea it was to start the âPack of Dogsâ program and who is its founder, says, âThey jumped right on board to help Ford out. Montgomery County Public Schools, Maryland’s largest school system, will add hundreds of electric bus school buses to its fleet, and will become the biggest operator of electric school buses in the U.S., with the goal of going all electric in 14 years.
Under a contract approved by the Montgomery County Board of Education Tuesday, Montgomery County Public Schools will introduce over 300 electric vehicles to its fleet of school buses in the coming years.
The goal, county leaders said, is for the school system’s current fleet of school buses which boasts more than 1,400 vehicles to go completely electric by the year 2035.
