Mayors and councillors from disaster-affected regions of New South Wales and Queensland fear the cost of cleaning up after frequent natural disasters is not financially sustainable and are seeking urgent Federal Government help.

Councillors say they are exhausted and clean-up costs from events such as bushfires and floods are crippling
 Council is seeking an applicant who can provide a high level of customer service and complete various maintenance tasks at the site. The caretaker will also be responsible for taking bookings, allocating sites, daily cleaning and regular gardening, and they will receive one undercover caravan site, electricity, and internet services included in the role. The scenic site features 35 powered sites, camper s kitchen, mobile reception, coin laundry, and stunning views of the Coral Sea and Snapper Island.
