A cause of the fire has not been determined, but Jacksonville Fire Chief Doug Sills said investigators are following several leads.
The building, which was used for events and rented for special occasions, is east of Muggsy’s with a wooden deck in the center which Sills believes is where the fire might have originated.

The proposition to create a rural fire district in the area surrounding Jacksonville was struck down by voters Tuesday.
About 65.5% of voters or 234 from the district opposed the district, with just 123 supporting its establishment.
The district would have established service coverage for areas, mostly west of the city, that are underserved, said Jacksonville Fire Chief Doug Sills.
“I’m happy that so many got out to vote to make their voices heard,” Sills said. “As far as the JFD is concerned, this was never about us. We have been serving the citizens of Jacksonville for 180 years. We stand on our record of bringing the highest professional quality response no matter what the emergency is.”
