ADAMS COUNTY, Ohio (FOX19) - The body of a missing worker still has not been recovered but the demolition of a smokestack at the site of a collapsed power plant in Adams County proceeded Tuesday morning.
A statement from Adamo Group says the stack was located in an area, âthat had no bearing on the efforts to recover Jamie Fitzgerald. That work is continuing seven days a week.â

Desmond Joseph Ferrow passed away in early December 2020, aged 87 years of age, after a life well lived.
While Des Ferrow was a very well known Western Bay of Plenty community figure and benefactor, what was not so well known in the wider community was his outstanding success on the cricket field.
Born in Australia, Des arrived in Tauranga via Auckland, with a meeting with well known cricket identity Noel Copestake seeing him join the Albion Cricket From club cricket the promising opening bowler progressed to the Tauranga Attrill Cup side and then selection for Bay of Plenty and then Northern Districts.
CATLETTSBURG A charity event was held Friday at the Catlettsburg Ballpark to support the families of Adamo Demolition Group workers Jamie Fitzgerald, Doug Gray and Travis Miller. The three men were part of the project to demolish the former Killen Generating Station in Adams County,Ohio, and were inside when the building collapsed on Dec 9. Gray and Fitzgerald were killed by the collapse while Miller survived with injuries and is receiving medical treatment.
The event was organized by Fitzgeraldâs friends and coworkers to sell barbecue dinners and raffle tickets for a giveaway with all proceeds being donated to the families of the three workers.
