North Dakota reported 135 new positive cases on Tuesday out of 3,626 tests, for a positivity rate of about 4.37%. 1,008 cases are still active statewide. An additional 157 people have recovered; 94,584 have recovered so far during the pandemic. The following counties have recorded new positive cases: Ward County (Minot) – 21 cases Burleigh County (Bismarck) – 21 cases Cass County (Fargo) – 19 cases Williams County (Williston) – 16 cases Grand Forks County (Grand Forks) – 11 cases

Sanford, Essentia join forces on COVID-19 vaccine center January 19, 2021 FARGO (KVRR) – Sanford Medical Center will be joined by Essentia Health and Cass County Public Health in launching a centralized COVID-19 vaccination center. Sanford Vice-President, Dr. Doug Griffin, says beginning Wednesday, the vaccination center will be open in the former Gordman’s Department Store building. “We really think this will, particularly as we anticipate and ramp up getting more vaccine, a nice access point to vaccinate thousands of people in the area” Griffin said. Griffin said because there is a “very limited supply” of vaccine available, the center is open by invitation only for those currently eligible to be vaccinated.
