Austin rally against anti-Asian hate to take place at Huston-Tillotson

Hundreds of protesters have gathered at Huston-Tillotson University for a rally denouncing hate and violence against people of Asian descent.  Speakers will include Austin Mayor Steve Adler, City Council Member Greg Casar, KVUE reporter/anchor Jenni Lee, state Rep. James Talarico, D-Round Rock, and a number of leaders in the local Asian American community such as Alice Yi, the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Texas Regional Chair. The rally, which has been in the works for several weeks, will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at Huston-Tillotson University. A number of local groups organized it along with the Austin chapter of APAPA.
