During the week before finals each semester, students at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville have a chance to take a much-needed break from their school work and enjoy a time of fellowship at “Midnight Breakfast.” Several years ago, BCF President Thomas A. Kinchen recognized that students needed a break from their long hours of studying and completing papers, so he inaugurated the first midnight breakfast event. Breakfast served by the President and their Professors has remained a sweet tradition as tired, stressed students are provided with a nutritional meal as they study.

Kinchen On April 10, 2021 during their Executive Board Meeting, a formal signing took place for the new partnership (tuition scholarship) between The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville and the West Virginia Convention of Southern Baptists (WVCSB). Signees included BCF President Thomas A. Kinchen and Eric W. Ramsey, WVCSB Executive Director-Treasurer. Kinchen accepts check for $30,000 from the Florida Baptist Financial Services Executive Director/Treasurer for the Bi-vocational Minister’s Scholarship fund. Students attending The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville participate in a full range of state and federal aid programs to help with college expenses. These financial aid programs, loans, grants, and also scholarships provided through fundraising initiatives, friends of the college donations, memorial gifts, and church sponsorships play a huge part in meeting the financial needs of students as they attend college preparing for areas of ministry and service. Thankfully, financial assistance sometimes comes in the form of unexpected employment opportunities or from an incredible scholarship initiative such as the one established for bi-vocational ministers.
