ProMusica Minnesota Chamber Music Concert
NEW ULM ProMusica Minnesota is returnign to live perfomances with a Chamber Music concert on on Sunday, March 7, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 201 N State St, New Ulm.
ProMusica Minnesota will perform works by Bach, Debussy, and Brahms. The concert features ProMusica Minnesota’s Artistic Director, pianist Bethel Balge, Associate Principal Cello for the Minnesota Orchestra, Silver Ainomäe, and Principal Clarinet for the Minnesota Orchestra, Gabriel Campos Zamora.

Rare classical music to be performed at biannual concert

Poster for Music in PyeongChang Winter Festival Courtesy of MPyC Music in PyeongChang Winter Festival (MPyC), a classical concert directed by award-winning pianist Son Yeol-eum, features classical music that may not be familiar to many people in Korea. MPyC will be performed at Alpensia Concert Hall in PyeongChang, Gangwon Province, from Feb. 5 to 7 as well as on its YouTube channel. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the schedule for the venue was shortened to three days and only Korean artists will perform.
Under the theme Sweet Silence, Handel s 9 German Aria will be performed on the first day of the event by talented performers such as soprano Im Sun-hae, who comes from Gangwon Province; violinist Yang In-mo, the winner of the 54th Premio Paganini International Violin Competition in 2015; cellist Lee Hoe-chan; and pianist Park Sang-wook.

Classical pianist Jonathan Kuo will be among participants of an online recital this Sunday, to be livestreamed on YouTube channel Jakarta Conservatory of Music starting at 5 p.m.
In the 60-minute Young Steinway Recital, the 18-year-old will present another joyous affair from world classical composers from the 18th to 20th century.
Jo, as he is fondly called, will play Johannes Brahms’ “Four Ballades Op. 10”, Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Appassionata” and “Waldstein” piano sonatas, Franz Schubert’s “Wanderer Fantasy”, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Fantasy in C Minor - KV 475”, Béla Bartók’s “Piano Sonata Sz. 802, and Robert Schumann’s “Carnaval Op. 9”.
