Metropolitan Nashville Police Officer Injured Following Shooting During Traffic Stop 03/13/21 AT 3:16 PM An officer from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has been injured after a traffic stop took a fatal turn. Bodycam footage of the incident involving 31-year-old Nika Nicole Holbert and Officer Josh Baker was released Friday, WJHL reports. The shooting took place around 9:30 p.m. outside of a Dollar General. At the time, Baker pulled over the black Chevrolet Camaro after learning the vehicle was owned by a convicted felon with six active warrants, CNN reports. MNPD spokesperson Don Aaron revealed Holbert was initially compliant during the traffic stop until Baker discovered drugs in her purse.
