ST. PAUL, Minn. Kirill Kaprizov scored 17 seconds into overtime to send the Minnesota Wild to a 4-3 win against the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night.
Kaprizov, the rookie sensation with 27 goals this season, snapped a quick shot that was stopped by Anaheim goalie John Gibson, but drove the net and found the puck on a rebound and easily scored with Gibson unable to recover.

ST. PAUL, MN (AP) – Kirill Kaprizov scored 17 seconds into overtime to send the Minnesota Wild to a 4-3 win against the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night.
Kaprizov, the rookie sensation with 27 goals this season, snapped a quick shot that was stopped by Anaheim goalie John Gibson, but drove the net and found the puck on a rebound and easily scored with Gibson unable to recover.
”He’s a special player,” said teammate Joel Eriksson Ek, who was on the ice as Kaprizov scored. ”Every time he gets the puck, you can feel it in the arena. It’s amazing the things he does. He’s just creating all the time, and it doesn’t really matter who’s close to him. He can create a lot and he’s been really good for us.”

The Minnesota Wild will try to continue their dominance against the Anaheim Ducks this season when they meet on Friday night in Saint Paul, Minn.
The Wild (33-14-5, 71 points) have won five in a row against the Ducks after losing their first meeting 1-0 back in January. Minnesota hasn t allowed more than two goals in any of its six games against Anaheim this season.
Despite the recent success, the Wild can t afford to let up in either of the back-to-back games against the Ducks this weekend.

- Wednesday s game will be the final meeting of the season between the Blues and Ducks. The Blues are 5-1-1 against Anaheim this season.
- David Backes is expected to play for the Ducks on Wednesday night. Backes, who has hinted at retirement recently, played 727 games with the Blues and ranks seventh in franchise history in points (460).
