“I’ve been an Arsenal fan since I was eight years old,” Ek, the Spotify co-founder, said in an interview with CNBC. “I love the history, the players, and of course I love the fans. So as I look at that I just see a tremendous opportunity to set a real vision for the club, to bring it back to its glory.
“I want to establish trust with the fans and engage the fans again. So I’m very serious. I have secured the funds for it and I want to bring what I think is a very compelling offer to the owners and I hope they hear me out.”

Arsenal owners Stan and Josh Kroenke said on Tuesday they remain 100% committed to the Premier League club, are not selling any stake and have not received and will not entertain any offers.
Swedish billionaire Daniel Ek, CEO and founder of music streaming service Spotify, said last week he would be interested in buying Arsenal if the club s under-fire American owners wanted to sell the north London outfit.
British media reported Arsenal greats Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira were backing Ek s bid.
