Indiana nursing homes to make changes in visitation policy
Indiana nursing homes to make changes in visitation policy By Lesya Feinstein | March 3, 2021 at 5:55 PM CST - Updated March 9 at 12:01 AM
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Residents at Bethel Manor Nursing Home will get the chance to spend more time with their families.
Starting March 8, residents can have eight hours of indoor visitation a day.
“Our residents are really eager for families,” Josh Bowman, an administrator at Bethel Manor said. “And that’s really our number one question getting from families right now is ‘When are you going to have visitation inside again?’”
“It was the only hole I didn’t hit driver,” he said.
“I was trying to play it safe and sliced it into the water.”
By the time he’d finished his round, Ben had forgotten all about that second hole.
Indeed, he shot the best round of his life – a magnificent, memorable two-over-par 74 that included an eagle, three birdies, nine pars, just four bogeys, and that inexplicable seven.
His round resulted in 48 stableford points – an outcome the 13-handicapper never dared dream about, and which he’ll never forget.
It was the best score recorded on Saturday, and won him the B grade trophy.
Downtown Evansville Seeking Artists to Paint Select Gas Meters
The Main Street Walkway has become a destination for residents to enjoy a great meal, shop at local businesses, enjoy live entertainment, or any combination of the three. That s thanks in large part to the Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District who have made it their mission to make downtown a place residents want to visit and explore.
Over the years, the group has made a point to add some curb appeal to the Walkway with the help of local artists who have been hired to put their imaginations to work and add some color to select parts of the area. For example, Game Room Alley between 3rd and 4th Streets, and the mural at Self-e-Alley on that same block. Both not only add a splash of color to the Walkway, they serve a double purpose as also being interactive pieces of art making them another one of the destinations the Walkway has to offer.
