The Knight boys and girls both finished in 13th place overall, with Coe-Brown taking the championship for both the boys and the girls.

(Photo by Joshua Spaulding) ( click for larger version) June 03, 2021GILFORD Members of the Gilford track team didn t have to travel far for the Division III State Meet, as Gilford High School played host to the championships on Tuesday, May 25, and Wednesday, May 26. This year, to keep the number of athletes to a minimum, the meet was divided into two meets, with the girls competing first on Tuesday and the boys following on Wednesday. The story of the boys State Meet was Patrick Gandini, as the Gilford sophomore claimed the title in the three distance events.

This is the time of the year where we should be moving forward, said Plymouth coach Brian Blanchard. But we got some playing time in for everyone tonight. We ve grown as a group, we still have a lot of work to do, but they ve stuck together, said Winnisquam coach Mark Dawalga. I was proud of them, they came out and competed.

This year, the meet was divided into two meets, with the girls competing on Tuesday, May 25, and the boys competing on Wednesday, May 26, both at Gilford High School. The top performance for the Prospect girls came from the 4X800-meter relay team, as Veronica Dowd, Amber Fernald, Ella Smith and Hannah Capsalis ran to a time of 11:29.32 for third place.

(Photo by Joshua Spaulding) ( click for larger version) June 03, 2021GILFORD The Newfound track coaches, just a few minutes after their team had been named the Division III runners-up, were a little surprised to realize that the team had reached its second place finish without a single individual win on the day. It was a total team effort across the board that led the Bears to their banner on Tuesday, May 25, as they scored points in seven different events on the way to finishing second to a very strong Hopkinton team.
