LITTLE AXE, Okla. -
A Cleveland County volunteer fire department said thieves are targeting them while they’re out responding to calls.
In the month of April alone, the Little Axe Fire Department said Fire Station 2 has been targeted on numerous occasions.
“It’s really disheartening to see that people would target volunteers out here just trying to serve the community,” said Captain Joshua Reaves at the Little Axe Fire Department. “In the month of April, we’ve had four instances of either suspicious activity or people’s vehicles being broken into.”
Whether volunteers are out on a call or even at the fire station for a short period of time thieves have ransacked personal vehicles, officials said. In one incident valuable items were taken.
